Any glove experts or resources out there?
Hello All,
I'm a little out of my element here on the Memorabilia side, as I am primarily a "card guy," and a quick thread search didn't reveal any answers for me, so I hope a new thread here is alright. I recently bought a glove off Ebay that was described as a 1930s-40s vintage glove. It has my cousin's name stamped on the heel (bottom of the palm), and I would like to try and learn more about it. If anyone here can steer me towards any resources/reference guides, etc on old baseball gloves, I would really appreciate it. Something somewhere that describes the various makers, years, how to identify what you've got, etc. that kind of thing. Thanks in advance! Jason PS - and if any of this info includes advice or tips on how to clean old gloves, please share!!! The thing stinks sumpin awful!
