The National is finally upon us, so it's time to outline all the details about SGC at the show.
SGC will be set up in the corporate area in booth 1812. We will be alongside Heritage Auctions. According to the floor layout of the convention center, the corporate area is a straight shot towards the back of the room from the main entrance. It will be to the right and back from the VIP entrance. Full on-site grading and encapsulation will be available starting Wednesday morning. The fee schedule for standard sized cards under this service is as follows: $35/card for cards valued under $2500 $75/card for cards valued between $2500 and $5000 $100/card for cards valued between $5000 and $10000 $200/card for cards valued over $10000 Fees for oversized cards will be as follows: $50/card for cards valued under $5000 $100/card for cards valued between $5000 and $10000 $200/card for cards valued over $10000 Turnaround for the on-site services will be two to four hours on average. Submitting during peak times may result in a longer wait, so we suggest dropping your cards off first thing if possible to maximize the time we have to work on them. Cards requiring custom inserts or additional insert may also take more time. We will also be offering Quick Grade Consultations throughout the entire show. For $20, you can have your card graded by our graders and see the grade prior to encapsulation. If you approve of the grade and want to proceed to encapsulation, you pay only the balance of the onsite fee based on the card value. Cards submitted under this service must be reviewed at the SGC booth and any grade given would be void once removed from the SGC area. If you have cards to submit, but do not plan on grading any onsite, you may submit your cards under any of our service levels or current specials to save on inbound shipping. All orders received at the show will be processed as of Monday August 9. We will also be displaying one of the finest collections of rare and unique 19th and early 20th century baseball cards. The Patrick Preece collection will be available for your viewing pleasure throughout the week. We encourage you to stop by the booth to see these cards as this may be your only opportunity to see some of these cards publicly. We encourage all of our customers to please stop by the booth and say hello even if you are not planning to submit cards at the show. Our staff will be available to answer questions and assist with orders at any time. During the National, we will have a limited staff on hand at the office. If you need immediate assistance and cannot reach anyone on the phone, please e-mail me at bdwyer@sgccard.com and I'll do my best to help from the show. We look forward to seeing many of you this week! Thank you! Brian Dwyer SGC |
