Jim- I just checked my 1891 Spalding Guide and it has no pictures. A little too early for them.

He bears the distinction of being the only player transported backward in time.

Default Not Patrick

According to Baseball-Refrence.com his name was John Perkins Luby. Pat was apparently a nickname.

Default I picked this cabinet up at the Natl from

Mike McKee, along with a few other items. I just can't find any picture, team or individual head shot on him. Any help would be great. Thanks again.

Good point, Jim. At least a dozen people have now decided not to post because of Leon's comment.

And another dozen will stay silent because of this post.

Please don't respond for fear of making it worse.

A few years ago, Lew Lipset sold 14 binders filled with over 14,000 pictures of ballplayers compiled by Don McPherson:

http://www.oldjudge.com/archive/2006...ball/misc/139/

If I'd bought it---and I'm sorry I couldn't--I might be able to help.

{I see we have a winner} Anyway, have a look at that Lipset offering...it would make a great website

I'm doing a short BIO of Luby. His middle name is in fact Perkins, but I have yet to find where his nickname "Pat" was ever used. I've scoured magazines and newspapers and have found nothing yet during his lifetime.
