Major League Chewing Gum item

Hi-
I recently acquired the Major League Chewing Gum piece scanned below and I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with a few questions I have regarding it.
1, Has anyone ever heard of a company or product called Major League Chewing Gum? My quick google searches turned up nothing.
2. Any idea what this piece is?
3. Is ayone familiar with the bat and ball keychain?
4. Is this a known "fantasy piece" (or some other type of fake), or is it from 1947?
Any other information that can be provided about this piece would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alan,
Looks to be a fantasy piece. They made them in a few designs including the Ken Wel gehrig sign and putting a similar key chain on it.

Thanks Matt! I knew it 's style looked familiar and I think I remember seeing the Ken Wel item before. I really appreciate the identification.
