My best guess would be 1910 also. Wichita had just joined the Western League the previous year and the new stadium, Island Park or League Park, was constructed in 1910. I would think that they would try and promote the new stadium with these postcards. Wichita played in this stadium until 1933. I've never tried to pinpoint the year on this postcard but mine is postmarked 1914. There was a time when this postcard was difficult to find but with ebay I've seen around a dozen. Your's is in great shape and a nice example of an early minor league ballpark.
If you have any more questions let me know.

That image is priceless. I thought some of the fields I played in when I was in the Northern Utah League were bad, these put those to shame.

Lincoln's field about the same time (1910)
![]() I would bet Wichita's field looked like that because they allowed cars to drive across it and park in the outfield. Cars parked along the fence in Lincoln ![]()

Dan you are correct about the car thing. I have a picture of a hot air balloon race and this rodeo that took place. Who knows what else they did there. These were the arenas of the day so I imagine quite a bit of other things went on.
