1. From the 1983 Triple A World Series. This was the first Triple-A World Series. It was a round robin tournament featuring the champions of each of the International League, the American Association, and the Pacific Coast League. This was only a one-time event The three league champions in 1983 were the Tidewater Tides of the International League, the Denver Bears of the American Association, and the Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League. Held in Louisville, Kentucky, Tidewater ended up winning the tournament and the World Series, with a 3-1 round robin record. Bat measures 16" and is in nice shape with no breaks, chips or cracks. 2. Given out at a Huntsville Stars game. The Huntsville Stars are a minor league baseball team of the Southern League and are the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They are located in in Huntsville, Alabama and are named for the space industry (NASA conducts operations at the nearby Marshall Space Flight Center, a major area employer). I believe it was given out during their opening season in 1985. Bat measures 18" and is in nice shape with no chips, breaks or cracks. Embossed logo is faint. |
