| Ideas for removing ink and other oddities?

I recently purchased a couple vintage cards with ball point ink on them and I was wondering what some other group members have done in the past for removing oddities from cards... I am talking wax residue, old tape, ink, ball point pen (black, blue, and red ink), pencil, creases... I was talking to a guy at a local show and he was telling me about some pretty extravagant lengths to get creases out of cards. He would soak them through and use a press and he said the crease would diminish. I have not ever tried to do something like that for fear of really ruining a card. I thought it was a pretty interesting conversation, so I thought I would bring it here... Thanks for any comments... |
