Is there a variation besides the white letters on the 1969 Mantle? I have 5 of the 1969's, and one of them has a blue background, and the other four don't. Can anyone shed any light on this card? |

I have heard this question somewhere before, but have never seen the blue background card. Show us a scan along side the regular one please. |

I'm certain that Ted Z has posted his deep blue Mantle here before. Most likely he'll read this and reply. |

Hey Ted, Yours sure is a deeper blue than mine. Anyway, I guess there are now a couple out there anyway. I'm keeping mine and handing it down to my kids. Who cares about the White letter Mantle when we have the tough blue variation. Thanks for responding so quick! |

I have a few 1969s with the same issue. You can see it in the skin tones. Kind of like the 1962s or the 1952s with the funky coloring. |
