Default This is wrong on so many different levels

I think this qualifies as pre-war. I mean, take away the bling and the aviators, and it might.

Honus, we hardly knew ya.

I don't understand why people complain about stuff like this. If you don't like it then don't buy it. Judging by the price, plenty of people like it.

I Guess each person has their own style, likes, and opinions

To me I am a traditionalist and I do like things original and not changed/altered modified. or even "enhanced like this".

I prefer cards original and regardless of small stains, tears, bends, loss of paper, etc I enjoy them the way they were and their live travels from person to person

But this goes for all my like when I restored 64 1/2 to 68 Mustangs in the past I wanted them stock and only put stock parts in them to keep them original and even the paint jobs once restored were those of original factory colors.

Same thing with other items I cannot image taking some of the history Castles, Churches, Mansions, Art, etc changed. I liked the history and look of it as it endures the times

But if others like it then they can enjoy the changes but not I

Because this is the Internet. People complain about all sorts of things.

In this case, we're primarily a bunch of curmudgeons who have a tremendous amount of respect for iconic pre-war cardboard.

We'd generally prefer if the card companies left Honus alone and did things like this to cards of .220 hitters with 35 HR, a wgafWAR of 6.9, and tons of social media followers.

I have to think that the majority of bidders (the non-shill ones, if there are any) are simply planning to flip this. On the other hand, who among us has not dreamed of owning a piece of the "Skee Collection"?

I don't see how those Honus cards are wrong on "many levels," or any level for that matter. The card isn't a scam or an attempt to defraud anyone, so where's the harm? It is not something I would be interested in, but everyone should collect what they like or find interesting.
