Default Hunt Signed T206s

If anyone came away with any of the signed T206s in Hunt's auction last night, please shoot me a pm or email. I really like to keep track of the whereabouts of these little marvels!

Hunt had some very strong prices last night. I was bidding on many of their early Red Sox programs and (thought) I had bid strongly on a few, and came away empty-handed.

Rhoades signed T206 over $5K as well - wow!

Hunt's does a horrible job (as compared to other AH's) in sending out reminders. I was bidding pretty strongly on 3-4 items but completely forgot once i came home from work. Totally my fault, but it would have been nice to have been sent a reminder or 2 that time was running out etc. Oh well.

I bid on a few of them but didn't win any, almost won the Flick as I think most of the attention was being paid to Zimmerman and Rhoads, both being new examples.

It's a little ironic that Rhoades and Zimmerman went for over $5000 each, but 2 pretty decent Ruth singles signed balls went for just over $2000.... 2 steals if you ask me.

One of those baseballs looked like had a reserve as it's showing Did Not Sell on the Hunt website. The other one had a very strong coating of shellac which probably hurt its value.

The same thing has happened to me. They seem to send only one email telling people the auction is coming up, and after that, it's crickets.....no reminders.....nothing.

Add that to their crappy website, and I've given up on them.

In their defense (not of the crappy website, which is fact), I did receive reminder emails both on Tuesday and Wednesday of the upcoming end of the auction. So, at least they did send out a couple of reminders....

Now, if only they could do something about showing more than a small picture on auction items; hard to commit thousands to a purchase without better pictures...

I agree with the common sentiment that their auction functionality is archaic at best. That made it all the more surprising to me that they had, in my opinion, a really strong assortment that commanded some strong prices (on the items at which I was looking.) I'm pretty confident I overpaid on my one winning bid.

They always have some great stuff but geez. Is it that hard to send out a reminder email an hour or so before the auction ends? And maybe one more when items have entered into extended bidding? I know of one item that went for 160. I was completely prepared to bid 500 (but hate putting my max bids in too too early for fear that I will get shilled now).

Just saw this thread and decided to browse the closed lots, check out what I missed. Woah man, if I'd have known there were at least 5-6 I'd have really gone after. Oh well, can't bid if I don't know about it.

I, too, forgot about the closing. I had gotten some outbid emails, but thought I would look to see if I wanted to up my bids later. Then went to check the next day about upping my bids and realized it had closed the night before. I wasn't too upset about it, but did find it surprising that I didn't get an email telling me it was ending.
