1933 V353 World Wide Gum

What's the comparative rarity between this set and the 1933 Goudey? Is there a reliable "rule of thumb" pricing multiple for one versus the other? |

1933 V353 World Wide Gum
Posted By: John Harrell
The rule of thumb that I've consistently heard over the last 15 years or so is that the WWG sets (both 33 and 34) are 15 to 20 times rarer than the regular Goudey sets. The 33 set, of course comes in both French/English and English only backs. The English only backs are scarcer than the FR/Eng backs with the high number Eng only being significantly scarcer. Apparently Canadians didn't go for the Eng only backs and so many fewer were distributed, which would be why the 34 set appears only in Fr/Eng. I think the difference in popularity has to do with the Canadian sets being less well known and people feeling that one set of Goudeys should suffice. |
