Default Value range for high grade T210's

Posted By: John S

I was pleasantly surprised when I received an SGC 80 on one of a number of T210's that I submitted. I knew it was a nice card, but I didn't even check the population reports before submitting. Only 15 cards out of over 1500 have received that grade with only one SGC 84.

Has anyone tracked sales of high grade T210's? Do they command premiums similar to high grade T206's? It is a series 3 card, so not one of the tougher groups.

I am not offering the card for sale at this point but might be interested in trading for other T210's that I need down the road.

(Sorry Leon, I know that this is kind of crossing over to BST but I didn't want to make a vague post)

Hi John. I have some highly graded PSA T210s in my collection and have tucked them away for a rainy day. I think they do have a huge premium because of all the condition issues plus their rarity. Myself, I am happy with SGC 30s, 40s and 50s when I can buy them and they have nice eye appeal.

John- I recently sold a common T210 in SGC 60 on ebay for about $280, but it had a snipe at the end. I would think an 80 is worth quite a bit more.

T 210's

Over the past three years we have acquired three examples of high grade
T 210's. Two were SGC 80 and one was PSA 6.

We have paid between $675 and $975 per card. Two of the cards were
acquired at card shows (Philadelphia- two years ago) and one on E Bay.

We have found the set to be quite challenging in high grade.

Good luck in your pursuit

Thanks guys,

Bob I am with you...I have been grabbing them anywhere from poor to VG. I am attempting to get a player from each team represented.

Frank, I can only speak for myself, but I started collecting them when I finished my "mainstream" sets and when I could go no further with my 1911 Zeenuts or Pacific Coast Biscuit cards. I needed a set to collect and even though I will never have them all, it looked like a nice looking and interesting set to go after.

I have now finished the key cards I needed in the Series 6 set but have been astounded by the prices for some of the graded cards --I was recently outbid on eBay for a Series 6 card that I had bid at over $800.00 thinking that price would not be topped. I just hope the high end collectors will put the lesser grades back in the market for the rest of us!

There are some great scarcities in the set and, I believe, it is really under appreciated. That being said, most of the T210s out there are not slabbed. I have a good number of very high grade cards that are in my collection that are unslabbed and I assume that many other collectors of the set fall into the same boat.

I would agree with Jay that there are a lot of T210 collections that haven't hit plastic yet, I also agree with Bob as usual that anytime these cards can be found in VG that look sharp you're way ahead of the curve. Cards 5 and above are hard to come by, I own a few and since I dont follow POP reports perhaps you guys would know the POP's or care...i just bought them because they were nice....LOL

Cheers,

John

I remember seeing an SGC80 T210 (Series 6) card won on ebay for a little over $100 a few years back. I guess the condition rarities are picking up a pretty good premium these days. The T210s are tough to find nice.
