With card values going up, which may cause owners of valuable cards to be more nervous about theft or loss, would a safe deposit box or regular safe be the best place to store them?

Safe deposit box at the bank is probably about as realistically safe as you can get. Less convenient though, the day I can't have my cards with me at all is the day I have to find a new hobby or move somewhere better.

If you're going to keep them in your safe at home, then buy this too:

Preferably, throw rear irons on it though so you hit what you’re trying too

Hi

For the more valuable cards

I use a safe deposit box at the bank
but I also wrap and seal them before I put them in to ensure no moisture gets in (learned that from the California fires a few years ago and some people that lost valuables in banks on line of the fire/ sprinkler system)

I have 2 very similar, one for me, one for my wife...and a built-in Mosler safe for all my stuff, including cards.

Default Safe Deposit Box

Agree. Depending on your threshold of risk a safe deposit box is a good investment for peace of mind.
