Default Jackie Robinson, photograph used to produce 1952 Berk Ross Baseball Card?

In my search to find out what I have in my collection of 8x10 black and white photos. Some information was provided to me about the Jackie Robinson photo,
being used to make his 1952 Berk Ross baseball card. Although no one officially said I have the photo that made the Berk Ross baseball card. The information would suggest so: The two linked articles- suggest the photo was used as a photostat to make the 1952 Berk Ross baseball card.

The linked Key Man article, which is the one that I found, says, "one possible explanation is that they are photostats made, and used in the process in making the card." And, "There is no evidence indicating that these photos were used in any promotion or sold in the retail market."

The other was given to me by an expert, to show a photo like the one I have that was for sale. But it also says, "This image was used for Jackie's 1952 Berk Ross card. This photo was created as a Type 3 to be used for his baseball card." And it goes on to say why the Type 1 photo was not used.

The photos of Jackie in these articles are the exact same photo I have. So what do I have? And does this indicate that all the photos I have are photostats since they are the same?

In my opinion, no one has been able to give me concrete evidence as to what they are. Many people have strong opinions as to what they could be. The best information I have is they are team issue/Player Picture Pack Photo issued through Stadiums. Because many people have said they or someone in their family had acquired theirs right from the stadium or bought them from a dealer who said that’s what they were, I will say this qualifies as an eyewitness, who has firsthand knowledge of the photos. Thanks, John.

Sounds as if your Jackie Robinson photo is an interesting item with some value.

Do you have other Berk Ross card photos?

Yes, I have so far acquired, 9 Berk Ross baseball cards that match the photos in the collection, and I have noticed there are more, I do not know how many will match, but I know there are more. And I have other bb cards sets that match the photo collection from, R423 strip cards, Bond Bread, Bond Bread Premiums, and the re-prints HRT/RES cards, And I have some Exhibits cards, and Salutation Exhibits. Thanks, John. PS I am trying to match the photos to the cards, in the Bond Bread and Berk Ross I have seen many others bb cards that match photos. I have to comb through the Images on the bb card and try and find a match to the photos. Can not go by any list, because some of the Images are different on the cards, then the photos.
