Anyone know of a resource/book for Latin American baseball cards or just Cuban baseball cards? Probably doesn't exist yet?

Also, can someone recommend a good book that covers Cuban baseball players?

There are numerous Cuban and Latin American books out there. One that is absolutely mandatory reading is:

Cuban Baseball: A Statistical History by Jorge Figueredo

The Complete Book of the Negro Leagues is another good one as it gives a lot of informaton about Cubans who played in the Negro Leagues. These two will give you a start. There are others. Let me know and i can get you a list.

I'd also be glad to help you out or answer any questions you have. Noel is right about Figueredo's books - they are terrific. "Baseball's Other All Stars" by William McNeil also has a very good overview.

Another good one is the image heavy "Smoke, The Romance and Lore of Cuban Baseball" by Peter Bjarkman and Mark Rucker.
