Speaking in the other thread about outing auctions this was brought to my attention via email and I'm pretty sure this photo has been discussed here before, but I'd like everyone to know that there is no way in heck that Hal Chase is in this photo. |

The 7th signature down on the back is Chase 2B. I'd be really surprised if they had a left-handed second baseman. |

While I agree that Hal Chase is not in the picture (I believe he was still on the West Coast at the turn of the century), the player in the middle row, second from the left bears a resemblance. And Chase was known to be a good enough fielder that he could play any position, even a lefthanded second base. |
