ok, what card do you currently hoard solely because your a greedy bastard? DIFFERENT BACKS DONT COUNT EITHER. I currently have 14 signed willis hudlin 1933 goudeys mainly because I kept finding the card cheap and because Hudlin lived FOREVER. Though I only got two Gus Suhr's so go figure? |

if you didn't discount "backs" I was going to throw one(or more) at ya....As for cards in general, I am more inclined to hoard rare ones, if possible...I know I pick up all of the E221's and E222's I can (which approaches 0). Also, if I see a nice Virginia Extra or red backed Crofts....I might go for it....Not really doing the sets (except D303,1916 Big Head and T209-1 in lower grade) and already have a type of most cards so any others really is "hoarding", in a way..... |

Collecting the master set of E94s with every possible background color is my only claim to the greedy bast**d mantle, I guess. I don't have a specific card which I am hoarding like some here though... |

Sean's post reminds me of that crazy time in the early 1990's when people (including non-hobbyists) would load up on several hundred rookie cards of the next big phenom. I wonder if Brien Taylor is single-handedly responsible for the demise of that trend?! |

Not really because I am greedy but because it is my all time favorite card of my all time favorite player. 1969 Topps Frank Robinson. I have 124 of them. |

At least Todd Zeile stuck around for awhile. Let's not forget Mark Lewis and Monty Fariss. Gosh, I miss those old cards from Topps and Bowman with future stars posing in their paisley shirts, gold chains, and Vanilla Ice hair! |

That is pretty funny Jodi... I remember collecting those Topps superstar Jeffries cards as a kid. At the time, it was the most expensive card I ever bought (paid $3 for it). Of course, I was 7 years old. |

Grace isn't really applicable. He was a Chicago mainstay. I think that a comparable player who does fit in the category is Ellis Burks. Then again, if you are only thinking of the situation from a purely monetary standpoint, then your point is definitely valid! |

Currently, I have more than my share of 2004 Topps Heritage cards of Albert Pujols, the chrome ones. There are supposedly 1955 of them, sequentially numbered. I have several, and plan on buying more as I come across them. |

Why would one do this, Greg? Well why grown men for the most part collect little pieces of cardboard to begin with? It's our passion and without passion, why pursue it at all? |
