Cy Young Auto Sporting Life Cabinet

Having never had an autographed certified by Spence or anyone for that matter. What is the typical procedure? Do you first authenticate the period and then try to confirm the signature itself? Would you list this card prior to confirmation on the signature? It seems to me that the card would garner more money if the seller had waited on the certification.
