I have told others what I would be willing to pay for a Cameo Pepsin Pin of Louis Sockalexis and it would easily set the record for the highest price ever paid for any pin from this set, maybe even double it. I know one changed hands last year for about half what I would pay. I just need to find out who has one of the 3-4 known copies out there so I can make them happy. |

As a shameless plug, we at Huggins and Scott have MANY 1933 Butter Creams coming up for auction next month including a SGC Grove. We also have many many type cards including a Texas Tommy. Go to our website to find out what we have. For myself, 1933 Tattoo Orbit Dale Alexander and Jimmie Foxx please? |

James, I took a look at the upcoming H&S auction -lot number 848 Jimmy Foxx pin and postcard - the postcard is not from the 1940's, it is from the late 1970s and is a Jim Rowe postcard. He used Burke and Brace negatives to make postcards and he made thousands of them...you almost always see them with the name of the player in block letters on the back. |
