You might also try the 1936 Goudey set. Only 24 cards, quite a few Hall of Famers, none of them particularly rare. One downside is that there are no really big name HOFers -- no Gehrig, DiMaggio, Foxx, Hornsby, or Dizzy Dean. But there is a Mickey Cochrane, a Paul Waner, a Hank Greenberg, and a Chuck Klein. |
