I mainly just collect cards that happen to catch my eye. I usually don't have specific goals in collecting although I occasionally put together a set (usually modern). However, when it comes to vintage, I just decide on a player that I want to buy a card of. Then I look at pics of their cards and try to find one that's both in my budget and appealing to me. A t-206 Ty Cobb is on my want list now. But I've decided that it has to be one where he's holding a bat. The red background portrait just doesn't do it for me. Ty Cobb needs to be holding a bat . Does anyone else decide which card to buy based on the player's pose in the picture? |
