What is the going rate for this card in SGC 10 or PSA 1? |

I think it comes down to overall presentation of the card. 10's that have pin holes, rips |

i'm also looking to get a low-end jax back even since i sold mine, but i didn't go after the mile high ones. i felt the sgc10 had a partial corner missing, thus losing some of the appeal. that's probably the reason it hovered around 7k. i would rather put in 1-2k more and get something i could enjoy rather than cringe at |

Another reason that this card is high priced is that the people with them bid on them to protect their "investment"..... |

I too have thought of buying this Joe Jackson card in a low grade. It's been between that and a 1914 CJ Mathewson. I value both cards, in low grade, at around 6-7k. Since I tell myself I only collect T206s, I try very hard to limit my purchases of others. As such, I have decided it's going to be a "buy one or the other but not both." |

Adam, I'd take a 14 CJ Mathewson over a Jackson e90-1 anyday. Maybe David will post his Lionel Carter SGC 30 (I think). Incredible card. |

Ryan, I agree (I think I was the underbidder). Very cool looking card with the white background and stark Wagner image. But it's kind of a plain, dumpy image of him with no color, etc. My point is, sometimes a card's lack of artistic flair makes it an incredibly cool card. |

Quan- My buddy picked up the jax card with a supposed hole in it and it turned out to be a mark and not a hole. If it were described that way, it may have sold for more money. |

Dan, the Cobb on bat pose is similar obviously to the Jackson e90-1; but Cobb actually looks like that image and Jackson does not. I think that is the hesitancy for some people on the Jackson. I happen to like both and if I were a crazy Jackson collector as I am with Cobb, I'd be all over it. |

I agree with Jim's points on both investors bidding up their own card as well as the CJ Jax over the e90-1 version. And Quan, no one here believes that you think the e90-1 Jackson is a better looking card than the 14 CJ Matty or Tip Top Wagner. Nice try. |

I owned a 1914 CJ Matty in an SGC 40 holder, and it was cool. The problem with the card is that it is super pricey and the price fluctuates alot. I also think that the Matty is no tougher than any other 1914, and wouldn't carry a premium if the same pose were in the 1915 set. |

that's an amazing story...$4?!?! Back when e cards were terribly un-cool and tobacco was king. They may well have been football or basketball cards! Personally I've never liked the e90-1 Jackson...the poor registration issues and the lipstick. I'd rather have a d322 wagner or possibly 100 other cards. |
