Obvious fakes. None of the cards are the right size in comparison with one another.

Looks like a mixture. The Goudey Gehrig is a fake, as are the Goudey DiMaggio, Topps Unitas and others. I'd say the '68 Bench could be real, the modern cards (90's and up) are real. The 55 Topps AA football cards look real. No comment on the Turkey Reds, I don't collect them. The OJ looks fake.

but either way, it is a pretty cool coat rack.

probably a very good use for fake cards.


someone should make a t206 coat rack (out of reprints of course).

"I BELIEVE that his was HAND MADE during the 1980's." i did not know they had topps archives cards in the 1980's. perhaps cutouts from a mag or scans of cards. it will be interesting if the "i want to believe" ebayers get the price up there!

I agree with the combo of real (the lesser cards) and fakes, but this auction also has two of the telltale red flags:

1) seller saying they know nothing about sports cards

2) seller showed it to more than one dealer (in this case card traders at a flea market)/dealer (flea market dudes) believes they are real
