i am thinking of going to my first national this year. But, I am debating whether it is worth the time and money. I have been to several Tristar shows and all of them have been duds. I know the virtues of staying home and buying cards via ebay, the bst, auction houses, etc. I live in the west coast, so it would be a trek to go to cleveland (i.e. it's not like i can drive there). As of today, i am NOT planning to attend the Net 54 dinner. I don't collect autographs, so i am not going to go the national for that reason. I'm also relatively new to the hobby (3 years in after a 10 year layoff), so it's not like i've built a strong network that i would like to meet face to face. So, given the above, are there any viable reasons for attending the national? thanks in advance. |
