What if you check your psa cards and they're doctored???

Now that the dialogue has gone up a notch or two, Kevin has pointed out some amazing ways to detect corner building and wrinkle presses, ect...We know SGC has a guarantee, what if you check your PSA 7, 8, 9, 10's and see these repairs..what would you do? there would be no recourse from any auction house...what's the next step?

If the card is big enough PSA might stand behind it, after some arm-twisting, but for anything less than a fake Babe Ruth rookie that PSA might encapsulate, you will find yourself left twisting in the wind.

That's a solid view point, But what if a good number of collectors on this board find at least 1 card each, how would that effect PSA's business, would they have to answer for this???

PSA has on two occasions "bought back" cards from me that were improperly graded. There was no hassle in the process and I had a check in under 2 weeks.

Very tough! It would need to be a blatant error.

They will say (and have said) - Detecting altered cards are, in most cases, an individual interpretation based on highly skilled, trained and knowledge experts. We have the best in the business and we say it looks great.

Who are you to tell us it's doctored? We are the experts.



...but as long as we have SGC, the world is safe from all card enemies both foreign and domestic.

Just look at he PSA ad in the latest Old Cardboard, these people don't seem to care. Other than having better color the SGC card appears flawless while the PSA card you can see at least 5 printers marks. With payers like this why do they need a gaurantee, they are the experts not us.
