What did SGC do to ESPN?

Just curious. This article on the nice Mantle that sold for $160k just slapped SGC in the face. Not only did they crop their image of the card to avoid any SGC reference they didn't even mention it in the article. And the reference to "nearly mint" card doesn't do that SGC 96 much justice either....kind of sad for SGC...what did they do to ESPN?
