I asked Rosen if he collected the first time I met him in Seattle. His response: "I collect hundred dollar bills." |

The story about Rickey Henderson is that, at the end of the year, the Yankee accountants were stumped by a discrepancy in the team books. As the story goes, the Yankees had paid Henderson a $1 million bonus and he framed and hung the check from his wall without cashing it. |

In one of Rosen's books he said he doesn't collect, but keeps a file of photographs of items he's dealt that he likes or otherwise thinks significant. |

The only time I sell anything is to upgrade. If I buy something, it becomes like family. (corny I know). I 've sold maybe six cards in the last 10 years. I should add sometimes I sell something that I bought 10 or 15 years ago, that no longer interests me, or fits my area of interest. I doubt I could ever become a dealer, because it is so hard to part with them. I've considered becoming a dealer many times, but just haven't pulled the trigger. |

I keep wondering if becoming a card dealer would sap my passion for the cards. |
