Has anyone ever seen a privately printed scorecard (that is, one not from the team or league)? I just picked up one from 1933, that doubles as campaign literature for James J. Lyons, candidate for Borough President. (Though nowhere does it say which borough!) It's scored for Game 3 of the 1933 World Series, which was played in Washington. My guess is that it was intended to be used by a listener following the game on the radio. (Sorry, I know the images are kind of small.) |
