Dave Whipple's T206 Collection

Does Dave hang around these parts anymore? I was looking through his set images on my hard drive tonight and noticed many of his look "pack fresh" with the foil wrapper lines across the back of most of his cards. I would just like to learn more about how he accumulated his collection as I am sure there's an interesting story behind it, unfortunately I do not have his contact information.
