Won the auction then realized the seller doesn't accept paypal and is in Canada....exactly what type of money order is this guy wanting? Looks to me like it says non P.O.? Also....is it worth getting insurance an item coming from Canada or null and void??

I can't see where it says NO P.O. money order. The thing is if you send money order to canada via usps it takes a while. If you want him to sign for money order it cost around $10.00 to send it registered mail. I would get a money order from a convienence store or western union just to make sure. He only has 2 negatives for 11,533 total feedbacks. you should be ok.

edited to say: he offers a 14 day money back gurantee, pretty good.

Yeah...probably won't be a big deal..just haven't dealt with sending mail to Canada..and wouldn't again if I just pay more attention next time. I'm not worried about the money back guarantee, happy with the Cycle back at that price.

Congrats on the Cycle Back. I'm really not sure why the Cycle Backs don't get much of a bump at the PSA 2,3,4 level.
They definitely seem tougher than Polar Bear, Old Mill or Sovereign but seem to sell similarly. Maybe someone who has access to auction histories can confirm or debunk my instincts on that.
I'm sure that guy would accept any Money Order that's good in Canada. It's money right?
Trust the feedback. Our neighbors to the north are usually good eBay sellers for cards because they depend on their US client base for most sales.

There is a pink one made for use with Canada. Costs around $3.50. I use them all the time for Canadian purchases.

I've had an issue in the past sending a personal check...thief was able to totally gain access into my account and made some transactions online through banking site (how I dont know...smart guy).....so I don't do personal checks anymore.

Get an International Money Order in U.S. funds and you should be okay. Specify International.

I would confirm with the seller whether he would accept a personal check. It could possibly cause some problems even though my financial institution has never had a problem accepting a check from the US.

pink postal works fine for Canada. Costly, but you have no problems. I have 2-3 sellers in Canada I buy from regularly and they request NO Green postal money orders but are fine with Pink.

Just to re-iterate what's been said above, if you're going to send a Money Order, just make sure you explain to the PO (or where ever you buy it) that it's going to Canada.

A few months back I had a couple of money orders sent up from the US, and never even thought about this. Nobody would cash them because they weren't International Money Orders, thus, I had to return them to the buyers and wait for alternative forms of payment. Fortunately for me, both buyers were very good about it, but it made for a hassle nonetheless.
