The recent thread on the autographs coming back through the mail reminded me of the last one of these I had sent off. It was to Spud Chandler who played with the Yankess from 1937-47. Would love to see any old cards anyone has of him, or postcards, or even better yet autographs. He sent the card back to me signed within a couple weeks (the card was one of those 80's favorites from the past crap cards or something like that). The autograph on the card is very shakey, looks like a little kid signed it, he was quite old and died three weeks after I got the card back. I would be willing to bet if I sent the autograph in it wouldn't even come back authentic with the way it looks, but I have no doubt it's his. |
