I've wanted to begin this set for a while. Tonight on eBay I found an ungraded one poorly listed. Would have been mine for $85.00 if not for someone's last minute bid. All in all though how did I do at $210? I don't know the current market prices for these. |

I have tracked these a little bit over the last 7-8 years. I think you got a pretty good deal given the condition. He still has his little mustache protruding and it seems to be in ex+ shape. For some reason these don't get the attention they should. About a year ago I got a Comisky on ebay, in an SGC40 holder (and undergraded imho), for the opening bid of $600....I thought it would go much higher and so did the seller, unfortunately. Great little cards, not much respect, and a good value. Had yours been in gd condition the deal would have been ok...I think you did real good though....good luck with the set if you go for it. I don't keep up with the nuances, though I don't think there are many/any anyway, I just see what they sell for and keep a mental note...(approximately)....good luck...btw I have seen some really good deals on them over the years... |

That was my bid with four seconds left. I think you still got a very good deal on it. |

Thanks for the info guys. I wasn't sure exactly what to bid or where to value them. This is my first of the set. My max was $300, but I was just guessing. I was a little worried I overbid but appears I'm in tune with values. |

You got a very good deal considering the condition. This one slipped past me. Probably because it was listed in BALLS??? |

I think you did great. Scrapps seem to quite difficult in nice condition. As you may know, many have stains from the glue that was used to put them in scrapbook albums. Jeff |

R&S 'Artistic' series of unnamed players has gone for as much as a couple thousand bucks a set. I picked up a really nice Brouthers once at an antique mall about 10 years ago for about $100. |

If you go to Robert Edward Auctions, you can look at everything that was sold. I no longer have the list--nor my bidder number! |
