| Empire Auction in NJ

Posted By: Brian Did anyone happen to be there at todays auction and see why the album of tobacco cards brought $28,000?? I was a phone bidder and from what i was told and the pictures online, I thought my bid of 5,500 was plenty. Was there a card there that was unusual or did the auctioneer not tell me about some cards? I am just curious as to why it brought $28,000. I mean, it was a regular estate auction and not a baseball card auction and yet they got Robert Edward Auction PRICES????? Let me know if anyone of you were there. |
