Hi Everyone! Still somewhat of a newbie here, but am getting a little more comfortable posting. I just picked up a few B18 blankets (cobb, plus a few others) and am looking to get them encapsulated. Is there any particular company out there that grades B18s? Hope someone can help. thanks. michelle |

PSA doesn't do it as they should fit in the T3 type holders.......wonder if/when they'll do them.........the GAI's look horrible. Guess at least they're trying but they really don't look that good..... |

Hope they don't charge much for that. Not a fan, looks like a blister pack you would buy a car charger for your cellphone in. Surely someone has a better option. Howver, nice Shoeless. |

Wow that really is an unattractive holder. Too bad too - I think done correctly they could look good slabbed. |

Kudo's to GAI for having the larger holders....but pooh on the holders themselves. I have a few of them and they are really ugly. They remind me of Barbie Doll packages.....that I am always opening for my 9 yr old... |

Good question Tim. I too am interested in hearing how people display their blankets now. I haven't developed a good way to do this with mine. |

Over the years, I have made a few custom frames for my B18s. However, most of my B18s currently are stored in an album that was designed for pictures. |

out of the 160 or so of these i have,i have displayed two groups of about 20 in each frame, with no matting and they are positioned baseball diamond to read the name straight on against a white background. the key is to press cardboard backing against the back of poster board to make them fit tight against the glass or you will get a wrinkled look that is not attractive. the groups consists of one all detroit tigers white and brown infields with the cobbs in the middle, and the other is much more colorful with all different players mostly hofer's and rare variations. i encourage oyher collectors to display them this way as you will get more enjoyment out of them seeing them daily on your baseball room wall. dan |
