These have been around a long time, bought some from an antique dealer at least 20+ years ago. They were fake then too.

I wonder what PSA would say about this? I am not a major advocate of their service, though generally they do an ok job, but this is pathetic. Would the buyers have recourse? How much? I don't really want this to be a PSA bashing thread but it does make one lose a little confidence.....I sent a group of other cards in recently, through a PSA dealer, as they were looking like high grades and I know registry folks will pay a little more than others....a lot of them came back trimmed but now with this kind of experience it makes me wonder.....You would almost think at least "someone" at PSA would read this board to gain valuable knowledge and not make this kind of mistake. Heck, they could anonymously ask a question and find the answer out.....
