Is there a concensus as far as difficulty goes ? I know over the years that i have heard this is rarer than that and so forth. But does anyone agree on a list. Broad leaf, hindu ect.

My experience over the past 25 years in pursuit of the T206 backs is:

I have only one DRUM......and have seen just 4 others.

I have no BROADLEAF 460....and have only seen one.

I have only two Piedmont 460 Factory 42....and have seen 2 others.

I can't speak for the Old Mill overprints because I've never actually
seen them.

I have had several UZIT's and even more LENOX and Carolina BRIGHTS.

The RED HINDU can be tough, and I have one and have seen several.

I have never tried to acquire a Ty Cobb back, as the the consensus
way back was that it was not really a T206 issue. The "Factory 33"
on the back of this card reinforces this theory, since this "factor(y)"
does not exist on any other T206 card.

So obviously the Fac 460/42 along with the broad leaf and drum are incredibly tough.
I always thought the brown hindu's were hard backs but i am getting the feeling that they are not particularly tough. I have owned 1 drum but none of the others that you listed.
What about cycle ? You don't ever see more than few on ebay ?
As for the factory 460/42. I wonder how many have them and don't know. I for one never knew about the rarity of them and never bothered to look at my cards to check the factory designation.

The broad leaf 460 is really tough. I have had a few. I also feel that the piedmont fact. 42 is really tough. Brown hindus are showing up everywhere. Reds are still tough. The drum and uzit backs are tough too. The t206 museum site has a fairly accurate list as far as scarity. The problem is, many new finds flood the market place each year. It is really tough to gauge

Piedmont 460/42 is not in the class of the Broadleaf 460 or the Drum. I own 2 and sold another, and I've seen enough of them to categorize them as very tough but not super rare.

Brown HINDU's are quite plentiful amongst the 48 Southern Lgrs.
But, tougher with Major & Minor Lgrs.

And, you are right, most collectors who aren't into all the different
backs don't realize that they may have P460/42 cards. However,
my experience in going thru 1000's of T206 cards, I spot this back
approximately 1 time in every 500 cards.

And, Jay is right, many UZIT backs are soon to flood the market.

The answer to your ? is.....since I started working on my 2nd set,
approximately 4 years ago. I decided on this set to go after all the
different backs. Also, on this set, to enhance the challenge, I am
acquiring only Piedmont 150 backs for the 153 cards in the 1st series.
And, only Sovereign or American Beauty backs for the 48 cards in the
460-only series.

So, believe me, I have seen many T206 backs in this process.

I agree with most of you. Drum,Uzit,BL460,Red Hindu are harder than the pied fact 42 which is comparable to a lennox I'd say. I went looking for P42's about 10 years ago and searched about 1200 cards and found 3. They're kinda fun to look for!!

As a point of interest, currently on Ebay there are 555
T206 cards listed. After having scanned all the possible
Series 460 cards, I found only 1 card with a Piedmont 460,
Factory 42 back.
