U see alot of pics of cards, but what about where they are? like in hobby rooms, or books or even in boxes. how do u show off your pre war cards and pictures??? POST SOME PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to open up a can-o-worms but an easy way to display provided they are graded is with the set registry.Photo bucket is also awesome. Happy New Year all!

I don't think a lot of people are willing to discuss the exact locations of their collections for security reasons.

I posted a thread about displaying T3's and some great pics showed up - both for how to encase cards (holders, frames, matted, etc) and another that showed encased cards on display in the owner's house. My creative ability is zero. Really. So I really liked seeing how people displayed their T3's, and especially the house shot.

I understand security concerns - some of these collections are worth so much money. But if there's any way people can post small photos of how they 'show' their cards, I think it'd be interesting.

Mine's not worth a photo. Mine are in either toploaders (most) or slabs (a few). They are on the mantel of my basement fireplace. Just sitting on the mantel, leaned back up against the bricks, all in a row. haha. It's sad, really, now that I see how much a few of the others put into their displays.

(no, I don't know how the teddy bear got on top of the bookshelf, and the Mathewson coffee mug is from the rare ~1992 MOMA set, limited edition of 600,000 or so...)

A few are with Scott Mosley, Paul Stewart, JC, and various other board members (which makes them THEIR cards, not mine)..and I have all the hockey, most of the japanese, and some Murads at home. And a Kashin Ruth. And a mended Caruthers. And everything that was made after 1976, except the rookies. And my Hoss Radbourn Artball!

Max, you always know where to find me when you're in Seattle.

My card storage/display system isn't all that exciting... this trunk holds most of it. That's a 1910 Obak set (complete) on the left, and my collection of T206s (mostly low grade) to the right.



And just so Max doesn't think he's the only one cool enough to have a bunch of books:

I keep my baseball cards in my RED binder, and my boxing cards in my BLUE binder. My T9's are propped up along my dining room table (some actually in 6x9 top holders)

I also use photobucket, with satisfaction:

.... As far as books go, I have probably one of the top 10 Bull Terrier book collections in the country (too bad only 9 other people really care).....
