Since it's getting close to the end of the year I was wondering...Over the past year what was your favorite purchase that you made regarding card(s) this year? Weither you got a card real cheap or found one that you have been looking for what seems like forever what is it. |

Hoy (lower left), Selee (seated, center)--these two before their major league careers--and McCarthy (seated to Selee's left). An actual card, the back says "Pennant winners of 1887" and lists the players, and Selee as Manager, printed in red ink. Won it on eBay, after keeping mousy quiet about it for a week. (scan is about half the size of the card) |

These would be the key acquisitions of the year for me. The Wagner was a seperate purchase from the e104-3s: |

It may not be "the" card of the set, but it is one of the "the" cards of the set (and a beautiful one at that) --- |

I have a tough time choosing. When speaking about individual cards I got the most kick out of getting these five. However, my favorite purchase of 2005 was the 61 card lot of T206's and E102's. |

George C. Miller - Foxx, Grade 5, and US Caramel - Foxx, Grade 5. I love the early 30's cards. May every one have a fantastic 2006. |

I have not yet received my Mastro 1886 Game in Progress Cabinet (Detroit vs Chicago), so I'll go with this Charlie Bennett Tomlinson cabinet. Certainly one of my favorite Detroit items. |

Hey Zach- love your Jose Capablanca card. Best chess player ever to come from Cuba, world champ in the 1920's, and one of the game's immortal geniuses. Really cool card. |
