Well it looks like Roger Bresnahan. That is a very neat notebook. I collected notebokks and have quit a few of them and I have never seen this issue before. Very neat item. |

I may be wrong, but I think the photo was taken a few years after Bresnahan's tenure with the Cardinals. I came across an image of Rogers Hornsby from about 1920, and his uniform, his cap, and even his face look like a dead ringer for your image. The Cardinals uniform of Bresnahan's era (1909-1912) typically has an "StL" on its left sleeve and little else in terms of lettering. But I'll keep checking. I guess it could be a player on the Browns as well ... |
