Did anyone besides me happen to notice the prices of recent ended auctions on e-bay for some PSA 6's. In June when I was tracking auctions for 6's the prices ranged from $125-140 for commons. Six months later the prices are $180-330 and the bulk sell for over $210. I'd say thats a healthy jump in just 6 months. Anyone else notice the trend of higher grade T206's jumping along with everything else lately? |

I have been tracking and buying a few T-206 cards in SGC holders. I usually only buy SGC 40's or 50's and I have noticed that about a year ago 50's were going for about $30 and now you most of them go for about $50 or more. I think that more collectors are being priced out of the high end T206's and that is why the 40's and 50's have been going up. I am glad I am a little over 3/4's complete on the set. |

...my rule of thumb has been to buy VG 3's for $30 or under and VG-EX 4's for $40 or under. I haven't been able to do either consistently for quite some time, even more than a year ago. My feeling is that T206 cards went up in value dramatically one or two years ago, and that they have leveled off to some degree in certain areas, while other areas have continued to rise. |

I tracked 3 that ended last night. One went for $280. That has priced me out of the 6 range for sure. I will continue to try to pick up some 4's or SGC 50's but I can't compete in the 6 range any longer. I picked up a few in June and I'm glad I did. I have been focusing on portraits, because I like them the best, but they seem to be the one's that sell for the highest. I was going to try to complete all the portraits in the set first and go back and get the other players that don't have portraits at a later date. One card for each player and then maybe fill in the gaps later. |

oh yeah, they have gone up huge. i find theres alot more collectors now then acouple of years ago. i;m still tryng to get the E93 set and t206. but t206 is just crazy for prices. i bought 2 low grade cards, a bender and dunn for 10 bucks. the corners were missing but nice color. i saw a similar bender that had more missing then mine and was sold for 37 bucks, i was amazed. i find theres a huge price difference with low grades then high grades...... |

No doubt that the market for high-end PSA T206s is red hot. And recently the price appreciation has begun to filter down to the mid-grades--many garden variety PSA 5s are going for >$120; many PSA 4s for >$60. The price increases are somewhat exaggerated for PSA 6 because there are several collectors with significant bank accounts going for "PSA 6 only" T206 sets. Bill Latzko is almost complete, Don Spence started more recently, and there are a handful of others. So whenever a tough PSA 6 common appears on eBay it gets bid off the charts. Several have gone for >$400 in the last couple of months. |
