I get home from work too late to get the midnight deals. Once in a blue moon, one will slip through to me. Usually a beat up lot that no one else wants becuase it is so ugly. |

I moved to England just to wake up to the "midnight" deals!! OK, so actually the military moved me here, but it works just the same. Now if I want cricket cards, I do have to stay up late... |

Max- I hear you but sometimes these cards appear with BINs for the first time at 12ish or 1ish and there is no way to snipe or they'll be long gone. Kind of like the B/S/T thread cards I always miss because someone always seems to beat me. They must be reading that thread 24/7. |

BINing a graded card is so mucheasier than pulling the trigger on a raw card unless the seller indicates a liberal return policy in the item descritpion. I've BIN'd a few things and you're right, the good deals go FAST!!! They are far and few between. Like you said the great deals on the BST cards are gone sooooo fast. |

You bought that Speaker before I could react. Nice card. I was looking at it and thinking about it and then - BAM - you struck. |

Bob- terrific pick up at an absurdly low price. It makes me wonder why people even bother with BIN's when they really don't know the value of their card. If he simply let the auction run its course, he probably would have gotten a minimum of double what it went for. And I'm asleep by 10:30. That's life. But I'm the one who wakes the roosters up in the morning so they can get everyone else out of bed. |

While I understand why some people should not use buy it now if they do not know the value of their auction, I think it is a great tool that is underused by sellers. I have definitely used BIN as a buyer on things where the price was a little higher than I would have liked to pay, but am able to avoid having to get into a bidding war, which is sometimes a real turnoff. |

Are we talking midnight EST? How often do these BINs come up? I'll have to stop watching MASH reruns and check out eBay! |

<<I guess I am just surprised that more sellers who know the value of what they have do not use it to try to get the highest price out of the highest bidder. After all, the way ebay works, the seller is only getting a marginal increase over the SECOND highest bidder's bid. >> |

I have definitely made real money using it in appropriate circumstances. Of course, I enjoy watching my cards get bid up higher than I would have placed a BIN, which pleasantly happens often enough that BIN is a real question. But, still, if used right, it can make you a bunch of money. |

especially on the nice E90-1 Lajoie - great pickup Richard. Also, that was a terrific pickup as well Tbob. I had to settle for the SGC 10 E98 Young. It looked nice for a 10, so I thought "What the Hell?". Anyway, I can't complain too much after picking up the Red Cross Cobb with a Buy It Now. Though, that one was ungraded with very small scans - that one took more guts and eagle eyes than timing really! |

the interesting think is that most of these cards being discussed were all purchased a few weeks ago by the same seller for less money. For example, the e98 young sold a few weeks ago for 375. The Speaker was offered to me in trade not to long ago and, I beleive, even on the bst thread. It also sold for about the same price several weeks ago in a full 7 day auction. still a great price on all the cards. |

Yes, that's the very same T213 Speaker I was offering on B/S/T recently, which many of you may have seen. Sold it for $265 about a week ago. The buyer was disappointed, apparently, in the condition, although everyone seems to agree it's accurately graded at 2.5. It does have blazing color and registration, but some people cannot abide creases, and it has two of them. |

Wow, I would think if people are going to put up cards like that they would at least do about a few days research to see the most popular times to list auctions! LOL, nice grab! |

I use the BIN almost all the time and for the same reason mentioned earlier. I price it a the high end of the sale price, my minimum bid starts at the bottom of the scale so the BIN doesn't dissappear. A couple of days ago I put up 5 SGC T206s and all sold on Tthe BINs. It always makes you wonder if you shouldn't have went higher but I know I got a good price and happy about it. |

Lee- a guy with 100% feedback but I had never seen him on ebay before-flinchfree. Of course not recognizing a guy's handle means nothing because after buying a D311 last night and making payment to samplesignatures, I found out it is Rhys Yeakley. |
