Which one of these is authentic? They really look quite distinct. |

I have one of these purchased from mastro auction a few years ago. Both of these look good. |

Wish me luck. I bought the Cobb notebook cover for the minimum bid, about 1/6th of what someone recently paid in a Henry Yee auction. Based on what the seller has historically sold, the seller seems to be quite legit. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is, so I've got my fingers crossed. |

Both, I believe. The one with 26 times more bids is for sure. |

I'm very happy to report that the Cobb in the second link (the one I bought) does appear to be a vintage item from the 1910s. However, it is definitely not as thick as the notebook covers previously sold. It also has narrower borders. I wonder if it could be an incomplete notebook cover or some kind of related issue. Whatever it is, it is beautiful. |

yee's auctions always seem to get top $$$. he once sold a yankee stadium postcard from the opening season postmarked & vg for 10x what i sold a ex+ unused one for 2 weeks later.i guess people must of thought my was a reprint too(jealous). i'm sure we could start a long thread on this topic but just type henry yee in the search posts. you got a great item at a good price! |
