Well, it's been 100 years since Tyrus Raymond Cobb put on the Detroit uniform. Here is a picture of Ty Cobb's 1st expense to Detroit from original Detroit expense ledger. It is for $7.00 paid on September 12, 1905. The total Detroit players salary was $18,700.00 in 1905. Hard to read from photo but $7.00 expense for Cobb. |
