What is it with N172s?

I was perfectly fine when I got my first. Oh, I was thrilled. But I was ok.

And the same with my second and third.

But once I got around 6 - it was over. Now, it seems that whenever I buy a non-OJ, I have to compensate the ebbing in the force, by purchasing a new OJ.

And there is always a reason:

Most foul balls, game, 19th Century.
Lowest fielding average, substitute second baseman, prior to 1900s.
Most leagues played in, lifetime.

Is this normal?

How would anyone who will read this post be able to judge normalcy?

It's a sickness which has little chance of a cure. Those darn little pieces of cardboard are nothing but a pure addiction. If you find a cure, please post it. These cards make baseball history come alive. The more clear the image on the card, the more intriguing the cards become. If you read a lot about 19th century baseball it's really neat to look at an actual photo of the pioneer that you just read about.

Don't you just hate those cards!

Well, considering what they are, the prices aren't bad. Probably they are as Seth contends "a bargain". But still, they are $100. or more for a decent example of a common player.

Then again, many issues cost in that range, it seems lately.
