I am selling the following woodcuts as a lot for $165, which will include shipping and insurance. I am not sure what I paid for all of them a few years ago, but I am pretty sure that this is now below cost. I cannot go any lower than this. |

As a sidelight to your woodcut of Harry Wright's giant bat, it seems to no longer exist. Collectors have long wondered whatever happened to it. It's a little too big to misplace, and the only other possibility is it was destroyed. And why would that be? Always been one of the hobby's great mysteries. |

That is strange. I had never thought about that, but it's true -- it would be quite hard to misplace. I suspect it was destroyed in a fire or perhaps just buried somewhere... |

Hard to imagine someone taking the time to bury it. Perhaps it just proved to be too big and unwieldy and they decided to do away with it. Maybe it's in a barn or warehouse somewhere. |
