Need Help On These Philadelphia A's Items

Picked up some Philadelphia Athletics items at the Philly Show this past weekend and would appreciate any info about them.

From 1948, it appears they are cut from the Sunday Comics section.



From 1954, they have gummed backs, it says "Moisten Back, Cut Out and Paste on Cardboard"

Bob:

The top group are 1948 Philadelphia Bulletin cut-outs which are very scarce and listed in the 2009 Standard Catalogue of BB Cards. Both A's & Phillies were issued in 1948 and contain teh earliest pieces of Robin Roberts & Richie Ashburn.

The bottom duo are also listed in the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards, as 1954 Philadelkphia A's stickers. There are 10 checklisted, valued at $25 each in NM, though I suspect that's low.

Phil and Bob, Thanks for the replies.

I only have the A's for the 1948 set. I wish I had the Phillies.

I have 19 different of the 1954 A's set.

Bob, the 10 players listed for the 1954 A's stickers are:
Astroth, Fricano, Jacobs, Joost, Martin, Power, Robertson, Bobby Shantz, Suder and Trice.

Can you list the others that you have? They should be added to the checklist in the "big book."

Arnold Portocarrero, Leroy Wheat, Alex Kellner, Bob Cain, Ed McGhee, Don Bollweg, Bill Renna, Joe De Maestri, Gus Zernial, Elmer Valo.
