Uniform Patch Help

I just picked this item up in a group lot. There is no doubt it is pretty old based on the feel of the flannel and the musty smell of it. It has never been sewn onto anything. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this patch before and could help me with the approximate age and maybe the team.
