Lyman and curtiss ring bat

I picked this ring bat up today at an antique store .Cracked and repaired with nails 38 inches long.Lyman and curtiss new york.I was very happy to find it.My fahter saw it the shop and then phoned me.

Fantastic find! That is an early bat. The straight taper from knob to barrel makes for a great look. Were they giving it away?

I got it pretty cheap.I also got an early uniform from circa 1915.They were both priced together.When my dad phoned me and said there was a ring bat in the store I couldnt get out my door fast enough.about 200 dollars for the pair.

You truly got a bargain. A labeled ring bat is a nice find and given the shape of yours and its details (straight tapered barrel, flared knob) it's an early one. Another beaut.

Heres a photo of the uniform that came with the bat.Has nice collar and is pretty clean no rips.It does have two manufacture tags but I cant make out any of the writing on them.
