About 15 years ago a friend of my mother gave me a ball autographed by Walter Michie Yankees 1943. Along with the ball was a note saying that her father brought the ball home from a Yankee game when she was 12 years old and that Michie was her favorite player. I never heard of Michie and I never had the heart to question Peggy (since deceased) about him. I was just honored that she thought enough of me to give me the ball. It's an OAL ball and something I will not part with, however I would love to find out something about him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
