I was lucky enough to acquire this photo from a gentleman in Scottsbluff, NE after doing a previous transaction with him on ebay I asked if he had anything else related to baseball in Nebraska and I about fainted when he sent me a picture of this item....well today it has arrived. That's a full sized baseball bat for comparison. Photo is from opening day, April 21, 1911 at Antelope Park in Lincoln for a game between the Lincoln Railsplitters and the Denver Grizzlies. Lincoln went on to win the game 3-2, but the Grizzlies went on to win the Western League that year and are considered one of the finest minor league teams ever assembled. |

Dan. I am so happy for you buddy. I can't imagine the excitement you must have felt or are still feeling. You have such a tight niche that finds like this seem next to impossible. Well, you have restored my faith in the never ending search. Get that pin framed and hang it next to your photo. Congrats again you lucky dog. |

Thanks Guys! Mike, I'm still reeling a bit and I never thought I would find something this nice relating to the earliest years of baseball in Lincoln...this gives me hope that there are even more items like this out there...what I wouldn't give for a uniform or one of those sweaters. |

Dan, I always love seeing your stuff and this is no exception. What an amazing photo. The detail is astounding. I love the marching band in the background. I'm sure you will display it proudly and probably wear your poor eyeballs out staring at it all the time! In this case, bigger IS better! |

Dan- Awesome, the clarity is even better than the other pictures you showed me. I'm glad it arrived undamaged and appears to be in superb condition. That definately is the cornerstone piece of your collection, until you find that NI uniform that is. Congrats again. |
